100 Mile House Canada is located at about the halfway point between Vancouver and Prince George. It is situated in the interior of British Columbia in an area known as the South Cariboo.
100 Mile House was named for the rest stop travel weary gold seekers found 100 miles from Lillooet during the Cariboo gold rush of the 1860's.
It is famous for its friendly people and a host of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors summer or winter. Excellent fishing, hunting, horseback riding, cross country skiing and snowmobiling are just a few of the attractions that make this area a popular destination.
It was named handcrafted log home capital of North America and was showcased at the Winter Olympics in Turin Italy.
While the Cariboo is famous for gold, ranching, rodeos, and logging, it also has a thriving arts and business community. From outdoor adventures to fine dining, art galleries and unique shopping opportunities, we have everything it takes to make your stay memorable and rewarding.
